Since arriving back to Glasgow we have started to work towards our Masters Exhibition for University.
The exhibition aims to display the challenges of a live project in Bangladesh. It will demonstrate the restrictions in terms of budget, accessibility, working methods and conditions that a theoretical study does not involve.

We finished the UNDP Report today!
Tonight we are getting the night bus to Dhaka where we will have a meeting with all those involved with the project to discuss the submission to UNDP.
The submission needed to include a cost report, it is fair to say we had fun trying to do this and currently we estimate the project at 700,000 taka! We will let you know how the meeting goes on Sunday, until then wish us luck on the crazy journey down to Dhaka.
Below are some concept sketches of the design.
Design Concept Sketches
For the past few days we have been locked away in our room with the fans on, electricity running designing the community centre. We are making good progress and plan to do the costing report tomorrow. We hope to also meet with the NGO’s that run two schools in the slum, to discuss the possibility of them relocating to the centre as their current premises has poor ventilation and light.
We have had a few visitors over the past few days enquiring into the goings on behind our door! They take the opportunity when the door is open to pull up a chair and peer over our shoulders to see the design taking shape. Robyn was the main culprit of this activity and we unfortunately had an unwelcome guest in the form of a baby rat, which fell from our ceiling!
Whilst working we had a little old man (Robyn) come sit and watch us!
Yesterday we visited a homeopathic medical clinic, who are opening a new mobile clinic in Dinajpur and are interested in using our community centre to facilitate this. We got a free check up during the visit. Marianne was fit and healthy but Cara had a low blood pressure and they thought a mole on her arm was a skin disease! Despite this we still managed to hang on for deal life to the doctors motorcycle on our way to a mobile clinic.
We have started to design the community centre so drawings will be up soon!
